Aspens, our food supplier, came to spend a morning with Year 5, and helped the children to make bread. They explained why the dough had to be kneaded and how yeast makes the bread rise.  Once it had cooled down, the children were allowed to try it and their opinion was that it tasted delicious!

Year 5 went to a farm in Wisbech St Mary. They learnt about the different foods that started life off as tiny seeds and about the many varieties of apples. The met some of the farm animals and made very good friends with the farm cat, Lily!
